Solo Exhibit: Colombia Journal
ViewPoint Gallery, May 2024

Picture
The Colombia Journal exhibit is a photo essay about a busy, complicated, and beautiful city, as seen through the eyes of a Canadian tourist.  Bogotá’s colonial heritage and dramatic mountainous landscapes are on display in an urban setting that is full of complexity and contradictions.  The exhibit is presented as a journal organized chronologically.  The pictures were taken in April 2023, when I visited my son, Jonah, who has lived in Colombia since 2015.  The Colombia Journal exhibit, which was displayed at ViewPoint Gallery in May 2024, consists of 26 large prints, each one measuring 24 x 18 inches.  The prints are designed to resemble a magazine spread.  Each spread includes multiple images and several paragraphs of text.   Click on images below to enlarge.
